Foreword

Once, we took a comfortable life for granted until the outbreak of conflict between Russia and Ukraine brought us to the stark realization that war and death are much closer to us than we imagined. It was in our desire to aid the innocent civilians suffering in Ukraine that we encountered the inefficiencies and distrust inherent in traditional charity. In developed societies, we can extend our compassion through non-profit charitable organizations, yet in war-torn and impoverished regions, it's challenging to ascertain whether our contributions are fully reaching those we intend to help. Moreover, the very concept of charity has been tainted with notions of tax evasion and asset transfer. It wasn't until Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced the acceptance of cryptocurrency donations that we discovered the simplicity and efficiency of charity devoid of politics and borders. We realized that we could directly and anonymously donate our cryptocurrencies to those in need and verify their receipt and use of the funds. Thus, we decided to initiate Charity DAO, our way of contributing to international humanitarian relief.
